Crowborough and District Anglers Association
Crowborough and District Angler's Association began life in 1948 when a group of young men returned from the war. Intitially the club was set up to provide day trips for sea anglers. But over time freshwater fishing began to play a greater role and coarse waters were added to the roster. These days the club can offer both freshwater, saltwater and some stream based Trout fishing.
The Club currently has eleven stillwaters at seven locations, one reservoir, two sections of stream fishing, access to fourteen miles of the River Rother and a section of the Royal Military Canal in its' portfolio. Six of the waters have no close season.
We have a long and well documented history, an enthusiastic and hard working Committee and some very keen junior anglers. We support, and are supported by our local tackle dealers. Our club record fish range from 1968 to the present day.
We run matches throughout the year for Sea Anglers. We run a summer series of Wednesday evening matches for the seniors. In addition there is a Sunday series of matches for seniors that run from March to December. Junior anglers have a summer series of matches on Saturday mornings. For the specimen hunters, there are competitions that run all year round.
We have many different types of membership on our membership page and are sure to have a category that suits you. You can join online today. We also run a buddies programme for those who are new to angling or for those who wish to improve their skills.
fishr.net is a free angling and fishing community which allows Anglers, Fisheries and Angling Clubs to take ownership of a listing page and keep other anglers updated with comments, photos, latest news and events.
