Water Levels Cause Concern
PLEASE NOTE: From 11th January 2012 until possibly March 2012 British Waterways are lowering water levels on a five-mile section of the Grand Union Canal in the Tring area to save water in advance of the main boating season.
Above Northchurch Lock to Tring the water levels maybe extremely low and angling could be affected.
British Waterways state “It is anticipated that the reduced water levels could be in place until March and BW staff will be monitoring the situation closely and reviewing on a weekly basis. The local waterway will continue to work closely with boating businesses and mooring customers in the area to keep them informed and minimise any disruption.”

We own and/or have access to many miles of RIVER BANKS, LAKES and CANAL fisheries which are run both for our own Member Clubs and for individuals. Our aim is to provide as many miles of fishing as we can afford. We are in the majority supported by voluntary workers in the running and up-keep of these fisheries. Our Member Clubs and several individuals organize working parties, giving up there own time to maintain the swims, and keep the rivers and bank-sides as clear as possible. Please assist us in this undertaking by taking your LITTER home with you, and taking care not to discard any of your equipment that may endanger humans, domestic/farm animals or wild life.
