    Love linear fisheries. Have had mixed results thoughout the autumn but will be fishing it this summer in the hope of catching some specimens.

    Had a good days fishing from the bank at Grafham Water at the weekend. The fish were going mad for fry patterns. Lost a huge rainbow near the dam wall.

    Going to be fishing Grafham Water again this weekend, can't wait. Have a new hand-tied fry pattern to test out. Hoping to entice one of those huge double figure fish I was seeing near the dam wall. Will post the results!

    So...how did I get on at Graham at the weekend? Very well indeed. Caught a lovely 7lb rainbow on my hand-tied fry pattern near the dam wall. Very happy angler!

    Planning a trip to Rutland Water tomorrow with a dear friend of mine. Going to be taking a boat out and hopefully get some surface action. Have some hand tied flies I want to test out based on the Wulff pattern. Hopefully they will prove successful on the day.

    Although the weather was against us yesterday at Rutland Water, we ended up having a good days fishing with both my friend John and I catching 4 fish (averaging 2lbs).

    Hi Stephen, haven't fished this particular stretch, but I find maggots work the best on the Thames. Watch out for those pesky crayfish taking your bait though!

    A friend of mine took me to Par Fishery at the weekend for a spot of coarse fishing. Great fishery and although I didn't have much luck, I did see a chap land a very large wels catfish - what an amazing creature!

    It's that very exciting time of year again at Grafham, fry feeding Rainbows off the dam wall. Had a huge 12lb Rainbow a few years back, me and a mate are off fishing this weekend. Will post my results next week and any evidence.

    Glad to see fishr.net have added The Wye and Usk Foundation's waters to their website - My friends and I love gromain, a great water stunning surroundings with a good head of trout, grayling, Shad (in May) and the occasional Salmon. We are currently planning our next trip.

    Had a great trip to Avington last weekend. Was my first time at the venue and although pricey you can't complain about the quality of fish, facilities and location.

    A cracking days fishing yesterday at lechlade trout fishery. Caught a couple over 10lbs. Saw a guy from a boat in front of the owner's house land a 15lb rainbow.
