River Wye - Ross-on-Wye on Tue 22nd June 2010
What a day! Frankly, these facts don't do the day justice. First two casts brought two handsome Chub, and the day just got better from there. 5 Chub, 2lb 5oz, 2lb 4oz, 1lb, 3lb, 2lb 12oz 10 Barbel, 5lb 12oz, 6lb 8oz, 6lb 12oz, 6lb 8oz, 6lb, 7lb 14oz, 9lb 6oz (personal best!), 5lb 2oz, 8lb and 6lb 2oz. All fish caught on pellet. All returned fighting fit. Everyone talks about the fight from Wye Barbel. I can only add the following: On two occasions, I was sure I was snagged on the bottom, only for the ‘snag’ to start taking line off the reel a few seconds later. 10lb hook link was also snapped twice, and several other fish lost. Phenomenal fishing. Many thanks to everyone involved for helping to provide yet another first-class experience. -

A great days fishing, several large fish caught on pellets, but very exciting for the children to net for me. A lovely day spent at Abbey lake on the bank with wife and children. Thanks! -

5 Ways Lakes - Mallard and Kestrel on Tue 22nd June 2010
5 Carp to almost 7lb. Five Ways Lakes is one of the most Angler friendly venues I have fished in recent years. Very useful for those fishing it for the first time! -
Baden Hall on Tue 22nd June 2010
3 in our group - others to do own reports. Fishing at Baden Hall Fishery was a day well spent. Saw a lot of moment on the surface and was rewarded with 3 Carp around 10lb, 14lb and a 19lb (personal best). Will be back soon! -

Aldin Grange Lakes on Thu 24th June 2010
Weather was awful on the day at Aldin Grange Lakes (that will teach me for not checking the weather forecast!!). Very hard fishing, only caught a small Tench around about a 1lb. Will be back to try my luck when the nicer weather comes. -
Abberton Reservoir on Thu 24th June 2010
A stunning days fishing at Abberton Reservoir. Saw a lot of surface movement and was rewarded with two lovely mirrors weighing in at 8lbs and 12lbs. -
Baldwins Pond on Thu 24th June 2010
Only 5 small fish in total all on sweetcorn, lost a couple of good fish. Conditions were not the best on the day at Baldwins Pond - too bright!
