    The size of fish at Lechlade Lake are very large. Caught a brace of Rainbows recently that exceeded 10lbs a piece.

    A hard days fishing with gale force winds and heavy rain on and off. Walked the whole length of farmoor reservoir during the day searching for sheltered spots out the wind. Had 2 rainbows, 2lb 8oz and 3 15oz, both in mint condition and fighting fit.

    Another fantastic trip to Barn Elms Trout Fishery at the weekend. After failing to win the top spot in Trout Masters competition the other week (only managed to come 3rd), I was rewarded on this occassion with the months biggest fish, I beautiful Rainbow of 7lbs 2oz. Looks like there maybe another Trout Master 2012 place looming :)

    Had an awesome days fishing at Dever Springs Fishery last week. The fishery is stunning with the water clarity gin clear. I was able to stalk the fish I wanted to catch. Caught 3 all over 9lbs and saw many over the 15lb mark. The fishery has a couple of holding pools right next to the lakes where you can see first hand fish topping 20lbs plus, which are stocked daily into the lakes. Dever Springs rocks!!!!

    Had another trip to Dever Springs Fishery at the weekend. Had a great chat with the fishery owner Neil, what a really nice bloke. He made me feel really welcome! Almost caught my personal best ever fish I estimate to be around the 17lb mark. But it came off just before getting it to the net. Caught 3 all around 9lb which is nothing to sniff at. Will have to go back soon to see if I can catch that monster!!!

    I went to Farmoor at the weekend and caught 3 fish, the biggest being 4lbs, all rainbows. It was good going considering it was so hot and flat calm on the water. Farmoor is a great alternative to the more expensive small waters in the area. Tight lines!

    Went with a mate to dever on Monday (day off). It was tough going with the drop in temperature, but we both caught. The biggest was caught by mate 13lbs. I had a double myself. Role on Spring!!!!

    Hi Vic - I couldn't agree more with your sentiments. You never do forget those tiddlers caught as a child that sets you on the fishing path for the rest of your life. For me it was at the age of 4yrs old with my grandfather catching sticklebacks in a jam jar. Good luck catching those heart pounding bigger fish Vic ;)

    A good Autumn's day fishing at Dever Springs Trout Fishery produced 3 top quality Rainbows all over 7lbs. The previous day I was told a 25lb and 22lb fish were caught. Will have to try and break my PB of 14lbs in the New Year!

    Hi Bill - Was the water still clouded a dark blue? I was there a few weeks back and the clarity of the water was very poor. They are using some sort of vegetable dye to control the blanket weed.
